School principals lament voters staining their walls

Wailili Primary SchoolDomingos Cabral, Principal at the Wailili Primary School complained some voters rubbed their fingers on the school walls staining them with the indelible ink.

“You mustn’t rub your stained fingers on the wall, you are dirtying the place,” Cabral said to voters during the recent elections (07/07).

After the incident, the Headmaster warned all voters at the Polling Station.
Francisco F. Belo, an observer at the station said this had also occurred during the Presidential Elections.
“We can say all we like, they still do it,” said the observer.
Fernando Clau Soares Marques a teacher at the school said this issue was already discussed and it was agreed voters would be told not to rub their fingers on the walls.

“It’s a lack of hygiene, we have informed everyone but voters still rub their fingers on the school walls to get rid of the ink,” said the teacher.
