A woman hit her husband's head with a stick for suspicion of him having an affair with another woman.

A woman hit her husband's head with a stick for suspicion of him having an affair with another woman.

According to the accusation by the Public Ministry read by the presiding judge, the victim and the accused married in 2008 and have four children together.
On May 9, 2016, the accused called the victim to take her home as she wanted to go out. After waiting a long time, when her husband turned up later, she grabbed a rock and threw it at him.
She was still angry at him so she grabbed a stick with nails on it and hit him in the head until he bled.
She said she was suspicious that the reason why he was late was because he had gone to meet his lover in Lahane. She found out he was having an affair with another woman in Lahane.
After the accusations was read, the presiding judge called on the accused to give her statement at court but she remained silent.
The presiding judge then called on the victim to give his statement at court and he stated he was not having an affair with another woman.
"I came late because there was a traffic jam; that's why I was late," he said.
He said husband and wife are now fine and the problem they had has been resolved within the family.
After hearing the declarations, the presiding judge decided to impose a one-year suspended sentence on the accused.
