![]() | I wonder why almost all, of if all, the motorcycles in Timor-Leste have no side mirrors? One comment I've heard, just few minutes (Sunday 1:00PM), after an accident occurred at an intersection near the Parliament where a motorcyclist appeared to have lost his life, that it is "common practice" of not installing or removing the side mirrors because these do not look "fashionable" or inappropriate. I wish the Government should be more stricter in imposing the safety rules esp. for motorcyclists. A number of them also drives at night without a single light (also observed by some car motorists). Although only been here in Dili for a short-period of time, I am scared to drive around esp. at night. ![]() Loron komentariu: 05 Maio 2012 Hakerek nain: Rosauro da Costa Tourist, Dili |

![]() | For: Ezequiel FreitasFriend, Thank you for the coverage in your news site of the National Parliament of Timor Leste's recognition of my late father's contribution to Timor Leste (NP acknowledges contributions of late UDT Leader Joao Carrascalao, Thursday, 15 March 2012 11:43, Ezequiel Freitas). We are very pleased that the sons and daughters of Timor Leste are involved in the field of journalism, particularly at the standard you have displayed in the Dili Weekly. As you may be aware, a number of members of my family are quite renowned journalists themselves ( Maria Gabriela Carrascalao, Angela Carrascalao, Joao Severino et al) so it is not unnoticed that you are making a significant contribution to our country. I hope that you continue with the often thankless responsibilities of journalists, photographers, editors and other media colleagues (particularly the print media/reporters), as an example to other publications in Timor Leste; and that our countrymen and women may also be inspired by your efforts. I hope you and your team continue onward towards your career goals with much success and satisfaction. Kindest regards, Joao Miguel Carrascalao ![]() Loron komentariu: 31 Março 2012 Hakerek nain: Joao Miguel Carrascalao Timorese. Venilale, Lahane.
